Plus Size Seat Belt Fit: Extender Length, Shoulder Placement, and Lap Belt Position
Seat belt extenders add length between the latch plate and the buckle receiver so the belt closes around a larger body. Extender length comes from the gap measured while seated plus one inch of slack. Hardware must match the latch type, and the shoulder belt is rerouted so the lap part rests on the hips.
